Facilities & sport
Despite our small numbers, WPS offers a variety of sport.
We are currently busy developing our own sports field but until the project is completed, we use a neighbouring field for sporting events.
All children from Grade 1-7 take part in Ballskills on a Monday after school. During the summer terms this involves swimming and athletics, whilst in the winter terms the children enjoy soccer and netball.
Cricket is also offered as an additional sport in the summer terms. WPS has 2 cricket nets for practise sessions, the children in the Foundation Phase are part of the Bakers mini-cricket league and the older children play regular matches against other schools in the area.
Cross-country is also offered in the winter months, the children practise after school on a Friday and take part in the inter-schools cross-country meets during the term.
